About
Since its formation in 1988, St. Andrew Rowing Club has blossomed from a crew of a founding faithful few to become a highly regarded team of 100+ student athletes. Our crews are consistently competitive nationally and our team welcomes all athletes regardless of ability or experience. If you are willing to show up and work hard, there is a place for you and a way you can help fulfill the St. Andrew Rowing Club vision:
Vision
Traditions of Excellence
Mission
- We build lifetime rowers who enjoy a shared sense of community and spirit of competition.
- We lead the advancement of rowing in the southeast region.
- We utilize the sport of rowing as a tool for mentoring our members on the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, commitment and excellence.
- We study, teach and model effective habits through sound training methods (e.g. general fitness and nutrition).
- We challenge ourselves and each other to learn, adapt, and improve; we are constantly striving for peak performance.
- We measure success not by the number of races won, but by how closely we perform to our ultimate potential… as individuals, as a boat, as a squad, and as a team.
In everything we do, on and off the water, we aim to excel… to continue old, and begin new…traditions of excellence.
